Is there enough difference in the Lib GB v9 and Liberty 3 v2.0 to go thru the trouble to update.

I had 602 installed and when I went to LGB v9, it tells me I am on 596.

The question is, can I flash the TBH GB 4.5.605 Special Edition Updater or the Full GB 4.5.605 AIO Updater, then install the Lib 3 v2.0?

I just don't understand the difference between Lib GB v9 and Liberty 3 v2.0

Thanks

I have a Droid X

I honestly have never had luck with any AIO's so I steer clear of them typically. If you were on .602 then flashing LGB v9 should have changed your system version but as long as the kernel version is correct then *in theory* you can wipe and flash the newest.

If you want to be safe I would restore a .602 nandroid (if you have one). If not you could always run the .602 SBF.

+1... Last Time I tried the aio... I lost recovery...

That's what happened to me when I used I believe the Apex AIO a while ago. That or I always seem to get stuck in a boot loop despite *trying* to follow the directions, so I just SBF since I feel it is more effective.

Thanks,

I think I will SBF to .602 using the 1KDS 602, take OTA .605, root with one click, then flash Liberty 3

Hope it works OK...

Ya.. That will work ok... But save a step... No need to take the 605 update... It's pretty much just a keyboard fix.. So after the 602 sbf... You can root and flash just fine

Update

After finally getting the time to sit and fool with my DX pocket computer, I decided to wipe data and flash the TBH 4.5.605 Special Edition Updater instead of SBF'ing. It worked great. Then wiped data again and installed LIB 3 v2.0. Again, everything was as smooth as can be. Used TiBu to restore apps. Lib 3 v2.0 is pretty awesome.

A thanks to all...

Glad to hear it all worked out for you!!
