You should be able to download apps from there. They have angry birds =)

Downloaded the apk. Still didn't install.... I think my phone is possessed.

I finally got it to install. I unmounted the SD card and installed from the market. Remounted then moved to SD. I guess for some reason the installer didn't like my SD card. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

I've found that updates of apps are only successful when they are not moved to the SD card. I always have to "Move to Phone" prior to an app update. And I also had to unmount my SD card to get angry birds to install.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the updates successful while the app is moved to the SD card?

No, but I think you've hit on something as I'm starting to see this same solution being posted for the other moto droid phones as well.
