You have to test whether there is something wrong with your battery. But if you have to buy a new one, you should know how to distinguish the original one and the aftermarket one. I have seen a detailed introduction here. You can have a look.

No the razr battery is just terrible you got screwed by Verizon who later came out with the max and didn't let original razr owners trade in

I think seidio makes a battery/case hybrid, would help drastically.
