I've been trying to install the pink eye boot ani with rom manager. Everything appears to work through clockwork and reboot but the animation doesn't change. Anyone have a clue as to why?

Thanks!
Kathy

Same thing here. My thought was wipe data/cache but haven't tried it. Maybe I should and report back.

rom manager cant change boot animations you have to do it through terminal emulator

once in terminal emulator type
su hit enter)
cp /sdcard bootanimation.zip /data/local/bootanimation.zip

i think thats the commands theres a boot changer in the market if you cant get it working

forgot I posted this earlier thanks guys for the help did a little research and figured it out.

rom manager can change boot animations. I don't know what the issue was here but I have changed it several times through rm. Thanks for helping out though.

how do you use rm to change the boot animation?

go to my section, click the jrummy customizer, select no thank you for all the options except boot animations, flash the update.zip when it's done downloading.

If you have bugless beast....use the app "bugless beast tools"
...go to scripts
...then go to switch boot..
...if you have a bootanimaton.zip on sd card
...click switchboot and its done...
..that easy

Kathy,
use terminal emulator, (in market, free)
type: (with OUT quotes) "su" (allow super user permission)
type: "allinone"
follow number codes. ;-)
good luck

You guys are making this too complicated. All he has to do is take bootanimation.zip and put it in the root of the SD Card. Then, using Root Explorer (a NOT free, but very useful app from the Market) either copy it or move it to data/local (One level up), and when it finds the existing bootanimation, tell it to replace it with the new one.

MUCH easier than messing with terminal emulation...
