Help? I can't seem to flash the custom softkeys!

I have a CDMA galaxy nexus with root running no custom rom and 4.0.2. (I am running a custom kernel) I tried to flash a set of custom soft keys from here: [MOD][4.0.2] Softkey and 1% mods - RootzWiki using clockworkmod Recovery but my softkeys just disappear completely.. any help? (I even tried wiping the dalvik cache)

Here is a deodexed stock ROM that doesn't require a data wipe if coming from stock. Won't lose any data and then your softkey mods should work.
