how do i reset contacts backed up with backup assistant to google?

I have some contacts backed up via verizon's backup assistant and some backed up with google backup.

I would like to get them all to google and then disable backup assistant.

I have a stock Droid X.

No worries.. Login into verizon wireless website.. Go to your manage contacts.. You should see all the contacts there (same as on DX) check amount is good.. Now you will see options (i believe drop down menu) going from memory.. To export.. It will export to computer as. Csv file.... Then login to Gmail..navigate to contacts and look for import.. Find file on computer that was saved from backup assistant.. Import and rid yourself of BA for life... Free man...

I logged into "my verizon" and went to manage contacts.
That took me to a screen about Verizon Cloud. I could not find anyplace that would allow me to view or export.
Am I looking in the wrong place?

It looks they changed it a little.. Ok can you go to My Verizon /my device heading then view all... I see my phone then underneath left.. Manage my device.. Backup my contacts.. Where does that lead you?

Not dense at all... It's hard sometimes over the forum.. I deleted all my backup contacts.. So test for you I got same cloud message.. I hit yes (or next) I believe to the next screen.. Does it show you options?

After going to the Verizon Clould screen, I click on "manage content" on web.
It took me to a screen that shows various storage options.
That screen already shows I have the minimum storage.
When I click on the "next" button at the bottom of the column, it tells me to add/delete a service.
(and endless loop).
I did find where I can download some variety of desktop app.
I will try that when I get back (in about 2 hours) and report back.

P.S. If your screen name means what I think, I have been a Dodger fan since the 50's.

Hmm.. I wish I could see what you getting.. I'm trying to get you to this screen.. Where your contacts should be already.. I had none so I added a sample one..


Yes.. Brooklyn dodgers... My father was a big fan and I grew up loving baseball.. My name dedicated to him.. :thumbup:

The desktop app. was not any help either.
I might try calling Verizon customer service (that should be interesting).
I really do appreciate you trying to help.

As a side note, I still have a baseball autographed by Peewee Reese and a number of the Dodgers of that era.
