Do the live wallpapers severely kill your battery on the DX, or do they use so little power that its not noticeable? I am sure some live wallpapers over others will use more battery depending on what they do, but in general, like the stock live wallpapers, how much of a battery eater are they? Thanks in advance!! dancedroid

Also, is there a way to make your own live wallpaper from a video, or just a way to make your own live wallpaper? My DX is not rooted if that matters...

I tried them out and they definitely use juice. I finally realized it wasn't worth it. Sure, they're going to use more juice than a static image, so why bother. By the way, I've read that red is the most efficient color background to use.

Don't know about making them from videos, but most likely doable.

Thanks. I figured they would use some juice, just wasn't sure how much juice it would be. I definitely like red for a background on this. I currently have one of the red stock backgrounds with some black mixed in on right now for my wallpaper with the photo widget to show a picture of my horse that I like.

I don't want to discourage live wallpaper use. Personally, I can be a stickler for running lean and saving battery power. It's just not for me because I'm sort of a power miser.

Zedge is a nice app for dead wallpapers and ringtones.

im sure you can set a video as a background, even i can set decent quality porn video as my background on original enV
