Recently we shared the announcement of the new Moto G smartphone from Motorola. It's basically a stripped down version of the Moto X that is designed to be ultra-affordable with an off contract price of just $179.99. The announcement even shared general timeframe details, indicating that the Moto G will ship out in two waves. The first wave will bring it to a smattering of countries across the globe, and the second one will finish with even more countries including the United States.

According to this latest report, the second wave version of the device will actually ship with Android 4.4 KitKat already installed. Wave 2 will ship after Christmas sometime in January.

Will this work on Sprint? My girl might need an upgrade soon.
