Need advice: How to safely wipe data on rooted Incredible?

Hey guys, need some help. Thinking of selling my Incredible rooted running CM7. How do I go about this and keep my rooted phone in tact? Don't know why I don't know this one. Will I lose CM7 in the process? Just want the phone clean of all of my personal data. Thanks for any advice....

Factory data reset will delete all your contacts and apps. This will not cause you to lose root. Just don't format your sd card. That will cause you to lose all your pictures, music, ect...

If you just want to go back to stock rooted then just do the Factory reset and wipe date it will boot up like the first time with the touch Android screen you can skip the google account sign in and just leave the phone without a google account for the new owner to use their account.
It will still have root and the super user will still be there just CWM will have to be re-installed.

I would like to keep CM7 on the device....after wipe. Seems like I should be able to just boot into recovery and do a data/cache wipe and the rom should be OK....first time doing this on my rooted INC, just want to be sure.

EDIT:It's all good, done with no issues...
