need to disable volume keys

hey yall, is there any way to disable the volume keys? I have looked everywhere for an answer to this. any help would be appreciated.

I need this too. My phone keeps changing the sound mode.

Not sure why you'd want to but check out extended controls widget. It has a couple of widgets for volume control.

I got an app that is supposed to lock it into vibrate. I hope it helps, but it still can get into silent mode if the volume goes all the way down and then you press it up one time. I do this kind of thing all the time because I listen to music with my phone and then it ends up in silent mode and I miss calls.
