Bionic just bricked itself? com.android.phone has stopped

So, I've done some thinking. The main problem with the phone is part of the phone process, writing/reading/erasing on the SD card doesn't work. I've tried multiple SD cards, so I know that's not the problem.

But SD card and signal issues. Those are both relatively in the same place.

Seems plausible that something might have gone wrong here, right? It houses both the SD and SIM cards, and has a small pop connector on the back side of it. The other issue that I believe it could be is the antenna itself, which is located behind the battery cover that goes across the bottom of the phone. So at this point I've broadened this issue from 'software issue' to 'could be software or hardware issue'.
