droid 2 vs. droid 2 global.... whats better for roms???

verizon replaced my droid 2 (a955) with a droid 2 global (a956)

my question is....

should i keep the global (a956) or have them resend another droid 2 (a955) whats better for roms?? I know the d2g had less before but now it seems that the developpment is slower for the d2 and there is more for the d2g

what should i do???? I just want a phone that has the best ROM possibilites

For current development I believe the devices are the exact same. 13th angel is doing a majority of the ICS development for both devices right now as well as the X and updates them both at the same time. Development has virtually stopped on almost every other ROM except miui and CM7 for both the D2 and D2G.

If I were you I would probably just keep the D2g and avoid the hassels of returns, etc.

Getting a replacement is not a hassle I just want to make sure I get the best phone possible and the most rom options possible

It'll be about the same at this point. If it was a year ago.. I might say go with the D2 over the global.
