Help with menu (hard) buttons lit all the time

Now that I'm rooted and when I dock it to my multimedia station, the hard buttons (back, menu, home, search) are always lit. I like the clock/weather app in the dock station; it's dimmer than original dock app, but now that the hard buttons are always lit, it's still kinda bright in my dark bedroom. Any way to disable this?

Can't give an answer if you don't have the issue. Mine doesn't do that running DM 1.0. Whatcha running?

...For some reason my menu/home key both light up when my screen is dark and stay lit from the moment I put the battery in before I even start the phone up... I dont know why it does this...? I read another forum and the only option was to send it in for a new phone or completely wipe my phone... any other options?!
