I found the perfect case!!!

It's made by Incase. The bottom pops off, the phone slides in, the bottom pops back on. It's perfect...exactly what I want for my Droid.

I'd probably go that route if I hadn't already spent $50 on docks for the naked Droid.

Try contacting the manufacturer about whether they plan to develop a case for the Droid. IMO, they probably won't because the Droid is a slider.

tough to do with a slider phone...would love the case though.. right now i use the zagg skin which lets me use all the native docks without a problem...zagg has its minor issues though.
