I just flashed lean kernel last night, idk much about kernels but would love to learn what everything means, and what to tweak when I want better battery and such. Any help?
Honestly most of the kernels are already tweaked by the dev to enhance battery life. If you wanted to try a little undervolting or under clocking or perhaps even changing to a conservative or power save governor, that would enhance battery life even further (though typically performance can take a hit). I pretty much flash and forget. The only tweaking I typically do is run a script to turn on USB fast charge or changing gamma and color levels to make my colors appear better.
there's s nice little app over in rootz that gives a nice use interface for tweaking the different settings... the app isn't dependent on the kernel.. but the tweaks are.. it's a great app.. it's called trickster app... I'll grab Ya a link
