processcom.android.email error requiring force close

I've had two e-mail accounts on my droid and haven't had problems until yesterday. Now I get new e-mails but when I try to open an e-mail I get the message:

Sorry!
The application Email (processcom.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

and I have to hit a "Force close" button.

I took it in to the Verizon shop, but they had apparently not seen it and I'm not seeing any posts on it here either, which I find strange... Does anyone have a solution?

stupid question as the app id you posted most likely would show someone what mail app you are reffering to but is this the gmail app or the pop mail app?

it's the POP mail app... gmail is working just fine
