I have a rooted Droid 2 with Android 2.2 (Froyo) on it. I would like to use Wired Tether (USB connection, not wireless). I know about PDANet but im looking for a free app. I downloaded the Wired Tether .apk files to my phone and receive the kernel message once, then it went away. When i connect the phone to my Windows 7 machine the LAN icon appears as if its trying to find and IP but it does not. Is what im trying to do possible or does anyone have any suggestions?
