Samsung galaxy s app/rom ideas needed

What are some things i can do with my phone? all i have done is root it. Wasnt sure where to post

How did you root it? I'm trying to root my gf's galaxy S and I've found guides, but they ask if your firmware is XWJVU/XWJVZ, but all her phone says is 2.3.6 with no letters at all. [/B]
