use titanium backup pro, to convert app the system app
if you don't have titanium let me know, will give manual instruction

on the maxx, it shouldn't matter, if it changes, restore the backup, you just made

I do not have titanium pro. The instruction would be great

As for the maxx, i didnt think the roms changed any settings that link your phine to the carrier, but i try to be very cautious. This maxx, in my opinion, seems to be the most solid phone out there and id like to keep it working lol

manual apk conversion user to system
need to be rooted
install apn backup and retore
install root browser lite, or a file manager with root access
root browser should open to root directory /
go to /data/app/ com.riteshu.apnbackuprestore-1.apk (name maybe different)
press on it or a sec, release, should get options, select move(cut)
select up (@ bottom of screen) twice so that you are back at root directory
scroll down to system select sytem/app then paste
long press on com.riteshu.apnbackuprestore-1.apk select permissions
verify permissions the three read are checked and top write is checked
View attachment 60610View attachment 60611

then reboot phone, I will start writing apn restore instructions

you should consider titanium backup pro, it is a great app, backups are compatible across android phones,
I've used same app backups on D2, D2G, DX2, & D3

how to restore apn backup

open apn backup & restore
click ok on ics warning
select menu/ disable ICS check
select restore APNs
if you get a pop could not find backup file
you need to create a folder named ApnBackupRestore or just copy folder from maxx sd card and move to MX's sd card
try restore again, select restore from maxx
it will ask you if you want to check for duplicates, for this time you can select no, it's faster that way, normally select yes

reboot

appalachian wireless should be default, if not may need to use an app, like HiAPN Global to select it

when you first open root browser lite, it should ask for root access, and to download update for root access, allow access and download

No dice. Still doesnt read as app wireless. Funny thing is that *228 sounds right now. It may just be cyanogen mod now that is incorrect

can not really know if it's correct unless, MEID ID is active with app wireless
with verizon I can just go to website and activate it, you may be able to call or you may have to go to store
