Touch screen dying, need to unlock via keyboard

Greetings,

I have a crack on my screen that is causing my touchscreen to be tempermental and I cannot unlock it sometimes.

I'm hoping there's a way to unlock it by the keyboard. Does anyone know if that's possible.

Just trying to hang on for next two month until my contract is up.
