LET'S SEE THEM DEALS!

Samsung’s olive branch is relatively straightforward: former Galaxy Note 7 owners can trade in their current phones and get up to $425 off the Galaxy Note 8 once pre-orders for the latter kick off on August 24. The instant discount offer will be made through Samsung’s website, though we are interested to learn how Samsung will parse out those former Galaxy Note 7 owners.

I think former note 7 owners should have gotten a discount without any type of trade ins. In addition, after the last trade in round samsung had, most did not get the full discount because samsung claim they received non-working phones - even when they were brand new.

over all, I am a bit disappointed. only two colors, black and grey and only a 64 gig phone for the US market. I was wanting a gold or silver and a 128 gig phone.

I may wait.

Did you have to go back to the S7 or Note 5 to get this deal? Or for anybody that gave up their Note 7's in the recall, do we get this deal?

note it said UP TO 425. I am willing to bet older phones or defected phones will not get the full amount. the info should be on Samsungs website tomorrow :)

found the the following on cnet

"As for carriers, AT&T will sell it for $950 and Verizon will sell it for $960. T-Mobile users can nab it for $930 while Sprint offers it for $960. The phone will also be available on U.S. Cellular for the full retail price of $963 ($32.10 on 30-month plan) or for $899.99 prepaid."
