I think former note 7 owners should have gotten a discount without any type of trade ins. In addition, after the last trade in round samsung had, most did not get the full discount because samsung claim they received non-working phones - even when they were brand new.

over all, I am a bit disappointed. only two colors, black and grey and only a 64 gig phone for the US market. I was wanting a gold or silver and a 128 gig phone.

I may wait.

Did you have to go back to the S7 or Note 5 to get this deal? Or for anybody that gave up their Note 7's in the recall, do we get this deal?

note it said UP TO 425. I am willing to bet older phones or defected phones will not get the full amount. the info should be on Samsungs website tomorrow

found the the following on cnet
