Android Updates: Sammy updates a tablet, Shield stopped, Nokia ALL IN on P

I am starting to feel like the Android Update reporter here. Seems like any time I look for some news, there's something about updates.
Android Central reported 16 hours ago that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 is getting its' 8 update right now. 8 hours later, Tech Times reported that this is causing Bootloops and reboots on some Tab 3's. Expect that update to get stopped soon, much like Nividia's shield update, reported by Android Police. Nvidia has halted the Shield TV update for a 'couple of issues' with no further details offered.

SamMobile reports that the Galaxy J5, a mid range phone usually offered free on some carriers, should be getting 8.1 soon.

As for P news, Nokia has committed to updating all 3 of its current phones to P. This according to TechRadar.

those bootloops are becoming a regular problem with the oreo updates no matter the phone. wonder why they cannot catch it when they are testing.
