Cannot Find Unread Emails

I am having an issue in which i can't find Unread emails. Tried using is:unread in:anywhere syntax. Didn't work. Only just started happening. 2 emails are Unread which I deleted from my priority inbox. Really annoying issue.

Are you using the gmail app? I've had this issue myself before where an email gets archived or something, but not read, so it still shows as unread, but doesn't show in the inbox. Try the All Mail option instead of Priority inbox. May have to scroll like crazy to find it, but I've been lucky there just about every time I've had this problem.

I did that in addition to important and refreshing the spam & trash folders. As soon as I read this, problem resolved itself....must be glitchy. I swear I was going through that process for a half hour lol.

I have seen it kinda just correct itself after a while before too, now that you mention it.

I've had this happen before..gmail just needed its coffee...really annoying..but at the time I was using it to sync 3 email accounts...all my email would show under the "all inboxes" or "all mail" but nowhere else..five closed the app and it resolved...
