Can you see it on your phone when using file manager?

Have you tried this?
Turn off the phone and remove that card.
Put in a different SD card, and old blank card will work.
Turn the phone On, Marshmallow will index that card.
Turn the phone off.
Insert the card you want to use, the one you can't see now.
Turn the phone On again, Marshmallow will re index that card and you might be able to see it when connected to your laptop.

That worked for both of my Turbo 2's.

Does indexing the card erase what is currently stored on the card?

I don't believe so; it did not erase anything for me on either phone.

Just curious. I see my SD card when I plug the phone into my MacBook Pro, but when I look at my files via a 3rd party file explorer, I have doubles of everything. Maybe indexing the card would clean things up?

It might. It definitely should not hurt anything, and only takes a few minutes to run through the whole process.

Have you tried removing the Card from your phone - putting it in a card reader and inserting that I you computer? I always do it that way

i removed the card and put it in the reader and the pics do show up,the problem i am having is i can not open it up(sd card) on my computer, all i can do is use my internal storage so it's like not having a 64gb card in my phone anymore.

If you can see everything on the card on a card reader in a PC, you could try backing up all the files to your PC. The format the card. Copy everything back to it and see if it works better in your phone.

I'd do everything sajo said but *Format the card when it's in the phone after backing everything up. It sounds like the MBR is corrupt.
