Can't send e-mail from Droid2

I had the same problem. I could receive but all of a sudden I could not send emails.
I went into accounts and deleted my email account. Then turned off phone and removed
battery, waited a minute or two replaced it and turned phone back on. Then added
email account back. It worked!
