Greetings:

Just downloaded an update to my Droid X and it changed the texting color scheme to a dingy blue color and my notification bar is dark...how do I change the colors back?

was it an OTA update?

if so, you won't be able to change it. As for any 3rd party app that changes the notification bar, I don't know of any

I think it may have been the 2.3.3 update because mine did the same thing (and I had the same question).

So basically motorola says this is the color you are going to get and thats it?

It sounds like you received the Ginger Bread update. That will change the color scheme. The only way to change the notification bar color would be rooting your phone and installing s theme or using metamorph.

It wasn't up to Motorola. It's a completely new software update by Google.

Gingerbread has its good points, but I personally dislike all the wierded out blue...lol I have to say, it did wonders for battery life for cm7 though...

Wrote a song about it, Like to hear it? Here it go!

So how would I do that? Im not too tech saavy

Um..you asking how to get a new look? First, you'll have to root using the D3 root method...then flash CWM recovery...then wipe data and caches and apply whichever ROM via install zip from sd..reboot and your really moving...
