Lookout and virus protection

Is the any need to have an AntiVirus on my phone. I have lookout right now.

I've heard that task killers aren't necessary, lookout, however is still widely recommended. New malware arrives daily and google can't catch all of it.

Well there was a recent big scare with some malware that's was on allot of apps... Lookout is recommended but I never use it... Lookout is a scanner for android... as far as task managers I wouldn't use them they cause more problems than good.

I ran Lookout a while back, but ended up with stability issues. If they've got those worked out, it could be a cool service.

I have no stability issues at all. I love Lookout, it doesn't kill my battery and at least seems to do its job well, although I can't know for sure.

That siren comes in handy when u are as unorganized as myself. Lookout ftw! You can turn GPS on even if it's off on the phone.. For those of us with out insurance I consider lookout a lifeline!
