Messaging App Crashes - All Texts Disappear

Today I was using my Droid to text some friends. I opened up the messaging app when it said that it crashed and needed to be force closed (no option to wait). I force closed it and attempted to start it up again. Gave me the force close message once more. I tried this a few times with the same result. So I shut my phone off and restarted it. When I opened the messaging app again it worked, but all of my text were gone.

This is the second time that this has happened to me. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

I have this same problem but happens to me a few times a day. Someone please help with this!

Happens with me, I do a nandroid backup every morning, and when that happens I just restore, cause I hate losing all my texts.

Yea I'm gonna start doing that, but this is a serious problem that needs to be fixed.

Just had this issue not 5 mins ago. Is nandroid an app?

edit: nevverr mind.. you meant an android backup.. didn't you.. haha

how do you backup? I lost all my texts, anyway to retreive them?
