And just like that we have an official bounty thread on XDA. There have already been a few hints that S-Off is being worked on so hopefully this bounty thread will be just the motivation that developers need to get this accomplished. The bounty is for S-Off only and will not be paid out for Root or a bootloader unlock. Of course both of the latter can be accomplished if the former is accomplished. Super CID can be changed with S-Off, which will allow for bootloader unlocking via HTCDev.com of course once the bootloader is unlocked a custom recovery can be installed and root can be flashed. This would be the best possible scenario for the VZW variant of the HTC One M8! There has already been a handful of $20+ pledges and this thread was only started moments ago. I have a feeling that developer "Beaups" is already making headway with S-Off. I guess we shall see soon enough! Head to the link below to chip in.
