Would there be a way to show notifications on the icon?
I have seen some windows setups but don't like the looks.
Don't want notifications in the pulldown would like to have it show up as a number on the icon. (If you have a 3 emails and your email icon is on desktop it would show the number 3 on the icon)
And the same for text and things like twitter and facebook.
I am using the og droid and pe4.2 with adw launcher.
Is there any rom, theme, launcher that will do what I want?

Launcher pro will give you what your looking for. It shows the number of emails, text and missed calls on the dock icons. Dont know about facebook.

Thanks! I really hate the new 15 min. Return. Can't really get the launcher set up to see what's what and then return in 15 mins!

Ok checked out launcher pro, and it gives notifications for missed call, text, and gmail, but inside the dock bar. Does the pro version allow for more options like regular email and do the apps have to be on the dock? I would like to have apps on the desktop have notifications without having to be in the dock.

The plus version gives you only widget options. And LP just puts those notifications in the dock bar.

Since you use ADW https://market.android.com/details?id=org.adw.launcher.notifications&feature=search_result <-- that may be what you are looking for.

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.gau.golauncherex.notification&feature=search_result <-- Go Launcher's option

Launcher Pro has this option installed by default as already mentioned.

If you want an icon for your page to put anywhere (not on the dockbar), you will need a widget to do this. I have seen some, but never looked to see if there is a facebook option (I am not a facebook user). Names of them are drawing a blank though. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.appventive.ExecAssist.ad <-- that's one of the ones I am thinking about, but there may be better options out there. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.kanokgems.smswidget <-- something like that also.

Cool! Thanks for the info, just what I was looking for!
