I got the original Droid and when they upgraded the software (from 2.1 to 2.2, I think), it gradually started acting weird- stalled going to camera mode, had to reboot often, etc etc. Finally took it in and they said that the "old" phone didn't "read" the new software as well.
Hmmmm, took me an hour of my time and $200. more (the old phone was out of warranty for ONE MONTH- just over a year old) and needed to get a new temporary phone number (wondered why the phone wasn't ringing!!) and text messages won't get forwarded. They now have me in the DROID 2.
I'm REALLY peeved at this ridiculous policy. The store salesman was nice but it was all about "upgrading" to solve my problem. Now I have WAY more minutes than I'll ever use, I've been "stranded" with phone service for about a week; no texts and it's costing me more every month!!!
Where do I go to get some RESOLUTION to this issue??? I submitted a comment to customer service several days ago- NO reply yet....
