Previously we shared rumors that the next Nexus 6 phablet-sized smartphone might be a Huawei made product. Now, we have a new rumor with a few more specifics regarding that intel.

Supposedly, the next Nexus 6 device might be architecturally based upon the Huawei Mate 8 smartphone, just as the original Nexus 5 was loosely based on the LG G2. Here's the latest rumored specs of the Huawei made Nexus:
  • Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 (although this is a departure from the Mate 8 which uses a Huawei made octa-core Kirin 930 processor.)
  • 5.7-inch to 6-inch 2560 x 1440 display
  • 3/4GB of RAM
  • 32/64GB of memory
  • A microSD slot (we are skeptical of this one, since Google rarely includes these with their devices)
  • 20.7-megapixel camera
  • 8-megapixel front-facing camera
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • Android 5.1 Lollipop
The above image is a mockup of the possible look of the Huawei Nexus. What do you guys think of these specs?

Still will believe it when I see it. Can't imagine that Huawei would beat out Sammy, HTC, Moto, and LG.

Why should the big names get all the love?

Rather have Moto Nexus than that. Really like Moto's designs and builds.

Aren't new release Nexus devices suppose to accompany new software?

on the move..

I don't think it's a matter of "beating out". I think Google is just spreading the wealth. It's now Huawei's turn as long as they meet Googles price point.

I'm looking forward to the new kid on the US block.. I will definitely get one and I hope it's at least 5'7 screen
