So... I woke up this morning wit 100% battery life.

I sent 7 text messages, updated 1 app (lookout) and was on facebook and listened to music for all of 6 minutes... And I was already down to 90%... I also run go launcher ex.

I know the dinc stock battery sucks but... Isn't that a little extreme?

It sounds normal to me. My phone never stays on 100% very long!

Gah... Have either of you experimented with a bigger battery?

This has to do with the charge / ps supply controller.
Li-ion doesn't like being at full charge for a long time, it is taxing on the life of the battery.
To counteract this effect, plugging the phone will allow the battery to charge to 100%, and then disconnect from the wall supply and let the battery drain to 90% or so. I think it repeats this duty cycle indefinitely.
So depending on when you unplug, you could be anywhere between 90 and 100%.

Well, my battery widget showed I was at 100%, and this isn't new, my battery has sucked since I took my phone out of the box

Yeah it only shows 10% increments. I think it rounds up also.

Actually it rounds down. I use minimalistic text for a battery widget (it does 1%), when it gets to 93% there it goes to 90% on my battery icon. Calibration of the battery helps give the best representation of true battery levels. Dl the app battery calibration (needs root). Awesome app

Assuming ur rooted, You gotta mix and match ROMs and kernals to find out which gives best battery.

The ext battery makes ur phone look FUGLY. LESS UR AWAY FROM ELECtricity for 2-3 days on the reg, skip it.

Your right tho, battery sux out of the Box.

Nah, I'm not rooted. I may have to depending on if gingerbread comes out. If it doesn't come out... Then I think I'll have to. This battery blows chunks...

Def need to root man. Throw an AOSP on their with a fitting kernal. You'll be amazed. I'm getting 28-30 hours on a single charge with CM7 and Invisiblek's newest kernal.

Pleasen.

Dang... I'd definitely root for 28-30 hours haha. I just dont wanna brick my phone, and I'm still kind out confused on how to actually root... I've read a ton of guides, but it still seems complicated...
