Ugh....I was almost considering unrooting for this but not now :icon_evil:

Can you imagine HOW many people are at their computers like so:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I extend my arm to all you folks not rooted to visit out hacking help section, and install ESE53 and be done with it :)

I can't wait for the new batch of "When is 2.1 coming?" rants. Lots of Type A personalities on this board.

As a side note; I'm disappointed to, but I'm not going to rant.

Bahahaha could've called that one! Thank you devs for already giving us a B.A. 2.1 ROM.

Can we at least wait until we find out for sure? This is all unconfirmed still.

Please visit the hacking help section for your copy of ESE53 waiting for you!

:)

hookbill has a point. It has not been confirmed. But with only 1000 updates in the wild at this point if at all, it may take a while to find out.

I'm sure this has been asked and I've missed it but is there a official offline install out there I can just use instead of waiting for the OTA one?

Here's a question. If, in fact, VZW has found a bug in the 2.1 version set for OTA distribution, what makes anyone think the same bug is not present in the various "leaked" version of the update?

It may of course be a bug introduced by Verizon's modification of the updated code but if that's the case, why is it assumed that such modification isn't needed for phones running on the Verizon network?

It's very likely that whatever problem has been discovered at this late date affects only a tiny percentage of phones out there. But when you're distributing an operating system to hundreds of thousands of phones even a tiny slice of that market is important and problems can result in thousands of unhappy customers.

I dont understand the rooted community's mentality to constantly pressure or suggest people to root. Chill, if I wanted to root I know how to search google.
