2.1 to 2.2?

My Incredible has 2.1. When 2.2 is available will the update hit my current phone automatically or is this something I'll have to go in and have flashed?

I'd assume it'll be an automatic update since I know my Wife's Eris will get an automatic upgrade to 2.1 from 1.5.

What key features can I expect with 2.2, benefits, over 2.1?

It will be pushed to your phone, and your phone will be updated OTA (over the air)

As I understand it the HTC phones will be among the last to get any of the updates due to the HTC Sense Interface. This is part of the reason the Eris is just now getting 2.1. Once Google releases the update HTC has to test it to make sure it is compatible with Sense.

The Nexus will be the first and Motorola Droid will be among the first as neither of them have a UI overlay that needs to be updated/checked for compatability.
