anyone have the lapdock running the .242 leak? Wondering if they fixed the audio issue or the jumpy keyboard in that build? Inquiring minds want to know. I am on .232 and with rumor of the OTA shortly, I will jsut hang out and wait to go back to .905 and take the OTA at that point. I just want to know if they have fixed these issues or not. Thanks to anyone who responds.

I guess there aren't any folks on .242 with a lapdock based on the crickets?

what audio issue and jumpy keyboard??

Had no issues when I hooked to a lapdock, keyboard was responsive and no issues with audio

i believe what is being mentioning is that there was audio issue in the relationship of the volume scroll level was was either on or off sound instead of off to a rise in higher sound level. the audio issue left no destinctive way to lower the main sound volume when it was connected to the lapdock unless you went to the sound setting and change the connection from hdmi output to phone speaker.

Just tested audio and turns up and down as expected. The buttons on the keyboard also mute it just fine. I am typing this reply on the lapdock and no jumpy keys. working great!

Lapdock 100

Hope to install 242 this weekend. Thanks to this forum for putting the word out that the Lapdock 100 is being clearanced out at Verizon. Got mine today for $50. I am very eager to see how it works with ICS.

I took the plunge and installed 242 today. Overall the change was a bit jarring to be so different. I do see a bit of keyboard lag here as I type this.

Overall I would say the experience is vastly improved. I love now being able to run a full screen RPD client and it rocks!

awesome folks, thanks for the responses. I was indeed talking about the all or nothing HDMI audio. I had to force it to phone only to make it work on .232. The jumpy keyboard was an odd one. When typing it didn't lag necessarily, but it did sometimes go back to the beginning of a line or start typing over something I had already typed. I found a new RDP client today so with that and the lapdock working fully, I can basically take my home Win 7 box anywhere with me and I have Citrix desktops for work. Last thing I would love to work out is VPN but from what I gather ICS still doesn't support IPSEC with Group Authentication. Anyone have any experience there?

Which RDP client are you using? I'm trying out 2x Client, which acts buggy on my work connection, and Remote Desktop, which seems best but I have to sit the lapdock mouse image on top of the RDP mouse image and drag it around, then click, very odd...

it's called Remote RDP. I think it may be a Lite version in the name but I couldn't find any problems. No bells and whistles but it works great. The reolution I use is 1366x720. That is the lapdock resolution. I am typing away right now on my win 7 box over LTE and no lag, works great. They have a paid version for 10, I haven't looked to see the difference but this lite version doesn't have ads or anything.

I think the jumpy keyboard is just an over-sensitive mouse pad. I had that happen to me too. I did have one audio issue where I tried to play a .wav attachment from an email and I had no audio until I removed the phone from the dock. Once the phone left the lapdock the audio played correctly. After I re-inserted the phone with the audio playing it continued to play correctly.

OK.. I've had the chance to play a LOT more with it.

Overall.. holy crap! This is great! THIS is what I paid for! MUCH better!!!!

I love seeing apps that support it go into tablet mode on this thing. There are some, *cough* Facebook *cough* who need to get on the ball! The mail client, browser, google play, calendar are very easy to use and I can see now using this instead of TBird on my main machine. I like it a lot.

I've opened multiple tabs with reckless abandon and not one "low memory" or browser crash. It just handles it.

A native full feature RDP client on this thing would be the bomb! In lieu of that, others have mentioned "Remote RDP" - definitely the way to go. I've used my main rig via this a few times and it works nearly flawlessly. Unfortunately there is no way to hide the main navigation bar, but overall it works and works well enough where I can just remote into my machine.

I wish there was an easier way to manage bookmarks on this.. that part is a little clunky.. but this is NOT the fault of the lapdock.

I still prefer using my conventional laser mouse rather than the little track pad.

Overall the phone is just better with 242. This thing needs to be released, period!
