3G Area w/4G Phone?

Does it make sense to buy the Bionic if the area I live in is still using 3G? Will I get the same performance out of the phone? I don't want to spend all that money and don't get the full potential of what the phone can do until at least another 2 years when 4G reaches my area

you wont get the LTE speeds but depending on your current phone the device itself is probably still a tremendous upgrade.
Dual core CPU, 1GB DDR RAM... nothing before this came close to the specs even without LTE.

I have the DX! OK so I should still experience a difference in the speed and performance. Awesome!!!!

We live in 3G area with a 4G area about 40mins away... But I have no second thoughts about getting it, other then battery life is a bit low.. but my GF also has alota junk on it lol
