3G Mobile Hotspot on Droid x

I can't get my internet connection to connect when trying to use the hotspot.. my device is found and says connected but a webpage will not come upon my laptop.. on my phone when I turn on hotspot it says provisioning required.. contact service provider, what does this mean? Is there anything that I need to put on my phone to make this work? Have been working with this for two days and still can't figure it out.. it drives me crazy.. thanks in advance for any and all help.

You either have to pay for that service or root and unlock it for free. Good luck

It means that you have to 'provide' Verizon with some money before it will work

Call vzw on this. If the device didn't provision itself they need to set it up correctly.

I'd say don't bother paying for it!

Root the thing and get wireless tether, once you're rooted its all downhill from there, and best of all, FREE!
