3g

Is it normal that when im in a phone call or make one the 3g icon goes away and the 3g doesn't work. Because ill be talking on speaker phone and try to us the web but it says connection timed out.

Verizon uses a CDMA network. On a CDMA network it is not possible to use data and voice at the same time. Alternatively, you can use WiFi and voice at the same time if you have WiFi available.

That's perfectly normal. CDMA doesn't support simultaneous voice and data. You can only do one or the other.
