3gp video to mp4 on MAC: WTF!!!!!!

why can i not convert 3gp to mp4 on a mac and what program can i use? ive tried VLC, imTOO mp4 converter, and mpeg streamclip but aparently 3gp is an unrecognized file type. im extremely frustrated and need certain footage i got on my phone on my computer for an edit/movie...is there ANY WAY???

seriously, how is this so impossible. a 3gp file is never ever used, what is the point of only keeping movie clip files you take on your phone when you cant even put them on your computer?

You will be able to do this with ffmpegX, download it for free.

If you have Quicktime Pro, you can also do this by using the Export option.

Different people have different needs/wants. Why do you think "the point" is only what you see as the point?
