I am currently running 4.1.1 MeanBean's rom version 1.02 (which errors whenever I try to download the update to it by the way). So now I'm thinking about updating to stock 4.1.2 and just wondering the easiest way to do so and then regain root and an unlocked bootloader.
I of course have a nandroid backup of rooted/unlocked stock 4.1.1 that I made just before going to MeanBean, so I was wondering if it's best to restore my 4.1.1 nandroid backup and then pull the update, install and then re-root/unlock using the new "Casual" method?
Or should I reflash my old stock image file of 4.1.1 and then pull the update, install, re-root/unlock etc.?
One last question... I have always been curious whether anyone has ever been able to restore a nandroid backup of an older OS with success? For example, restoring a 4.1.1 rom after already updating to 4.1.2?
Any thoughts? Thanks.
