4g data drops.....

I know both the bionic and razr have some data drop issues. I'm wondering if there is a current 4g device that doesn't experience data drop?

I had a Rezound for a few weeks and not only did it never drop data, it rarely dropped 4G to 3G - as opposed to both my Bionic and Razr which did so quite often. However, I didn't have major data drop issues on them, just the switching from 4G to 3G with an occasional drop altogether.

Location makes a difference obviously, but the Rezound seems to have a great radio/antenna. I've read/heard the Gnex is on par with the Bionic and Razr, but take that with a massive grain of salt.

Your experience may have been with a handset that had a defective 4G/3G radio. Or you are experiencing the drop-out in areas of marginal 4G coverage. My experience with the 2nd RAZR has been bullet-proof (no drop-outs) 4G performance where there is 4G signal.

I lost data for almost the entire day two weeks ago on a Wed or Thurs (can't remember right now). Since then it hasn't dropped out as frequently as it had been prior to the day I lost it for the majority of the day. Still...not happy with the consistency of 4G in my area (north western Iowa).
