4G LTE only area - Hagerstown MD or Charles Town WV

Haggerstown

I'm wondering how your bionic is working in the LTE only area?

Does it go from roam (1x) to 4g with out issue?

I drive through there often and it's strange. My Thunderbolt has a perfect 4g, but my zoom (which was upgraded) has nothing at all. No 3g, 1x nothing. I'm wondering if it's piss poor antenna placement or what. I was there today, and will be back tomorrow. We're see if the Nexus I get in the AM has 4g

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah, I have other devices that seem to work ok. My mifi sometimes connects and other times not. The bionic is a no go at all. As you might guess thats why i ask the question.

It's a shot in the dark for such a small area but hopefully some bionic users will chime in.

And yes --- very curious about the nexus.

My sister lives in Hagerstown and when I was up there a few weeks ago I had 4G the whole time with no issues. She was so impressed she's now thinking of getting a Bionic.

Cool, thats good news. Im starting to think i should try the new SIM card trick. My only hold up is it does work fine in any other area... just not a 4g only area.

Flsocialist, where you able to snag a Nexus? Does it work in the 4G only area?

I had an extra hour down near the outlets yesterday so I sat still and first waited and toggled the airplane mode for about 20 minutes, no luck with get a 4g signal at all. Then I rebooted the bionic, long story short I rebooted 4 times and it finally popped in. This is the first time this bionic was able to get on the network with out the aid of 3g first so I was very excited. Played with it for about 10 minutes, worked fine.

It took an hour to make it work, not too realistic for the most part but now i know it will do it!

With that said, I'm growing tired of goofing with this thing! On my third unit, waited for update and received it. Its still about the same as 2 months ago.

So, kinda done with Motorola on the "smartphone" front.
