I had Froyo & had the typical so so "charge at every opportunity" battery life. I got the GB 607 update before it was pulled, and my battery life was great! It was much better than before. I got the GB 608 update yesterday, and now my phone seems to be chirping for recharge every few hours. Is that what everyone else is seeing?

Nope, mine seems about the same as .608, drops about 10% every 2.5 hours with low to moderate usage; also freeze all the bloatware that I possibly can

.607 for me also had much better battery life. I usually saw it go to 50% after 14-16 hours. On 608 today, it beeped 15% after just 10 hours.

I did not notice reduction in battery life with 608 from 607

I always got 40% after 8 hours (school day) then I'd charge it on my way home. I used it kinda heavily during school so my battery life seems to be fine. It usually goes at least 12 hours before it chirps

I don't quite understand it, but my my battery life seems to be improving. After the upgrade to .608 the battery life dropped from 12-16 hours to 3-4 hours. But I also had other small issues with some apps acting quirky. I have rebooted several times in the last couple of days, and the D2G seems to be settling down. My battery life is much improved today over initial update, but I'll have to give it a couple of days to see if I'm back to the range I got from .607.

Looks like I have to agree with you. It seems to actually be improving. I wonder if it's just recalibrating the battery?..

Just wondered what your view is now that a few more days have passed. Similar to .607? I haven't noticed much difference.

I got tired of waiting for it to improve to .607's state and reflashed 2.4.29 yesterday. Updated to 2.4.330 and then to 4.5.608, now at 71% battery — with 7 hours on battery already.

Today, my D2g is at 90% after 5 hours. This is more in line with what I was getting under .607

I lose about 5% every 8 hours in airplane mode on 330. can't attest to 608 until I sf and update (mistakenly rooted and bootstrapped before I tried updating)
