I thought that the update was here on DF. At least this is where I found it. Easy to install as well. I still have the data drop issue though.

That figures. The data drop is my biggest issue. Does anything else seem better with 883?

It helps tremendously with the data loss. I've always wondered if it was a vzw issue more than a bionic issue.

I guess I was a little short on my information. The data drop is better but I still get it sometimes. I can't seem to locate it here right now so maybe I found it on XDA. Take a look there.

yes you can install the updates without rooting. follow this guide and you will be golden. Easily upgrade to 5.7.893, keep root AND webtop now - xda-developers
just skip the step of forever root.
