I was at Best Buy today and saw that they have a special moto droid price for just one week, only $99! I've been timid to jump in a get my first smartphone, especially after reading this forum about all there is to know to navigate its complexities. But I want verizon and I want the best phone for tracking cardio, music options. and other apps. This must be a sign to finally get my droid!

I'd have to agree, and since you're already on this forum your life with the phone from the start will be pretty easy.

"Its definitely a sign, go back and get one."

Thanks for the encouragement. I've not seen it at anywhere near that price elsewhere. Has anyone?

but they are $50 at wirefly.com

Wow. But I won't get that instant gratification and easy return options if I get a glitchy one....lots of ways for it to be glitchy too, it seems.

Best Buy has been known to price match, so it's worth a shot. Here's the link to wirefly:

Welcome to our Wireless World

I also thought I saw a thread yesterday where Verizon was now selling them for $49.99, but maybe I dreamt that......

Good info. Thanks. Best Buy doesn't make you send in for the rebate, so that's an advantage to go back to them too. I wonder if these discounts mean that a next generation android phone on verizon is coming sooner than we think. Seems like that could come before 2.1 at this rate! lol

The world may end before the OTA 2.1 update, according to some of our members! :rofl3:

Actually, I'm a chick. Which makes my new-found droid-related nerdiness even more alarming! Or charming, maybe? :)

Sorry, Sal, just assumed... Actually there are quite a few of us Droid chicks here, but the guys far outnumber us - so far! Yeah, if you're already addicted to the Forum, your life is pretty much over after you buy your own toy!!
