1) What are the potential problems I could experience if I move apps to my SD card? Do I lose them if I have to do a battery pull or anything like that? I ask because my D2 occasionally gets laggy and freezes up and I've had to pull the battery a few times.

2) I have downloaded a bunch of soundboards to get ringtones and notification sounds. Can I uninstall those soundboards once I've saved the sounds or will the sounds I've saved go away too?

3) If I finally get pissed enough to do a factory reset will it erase whatever I have on my SD card or is there some way to save my songs/pics/settings? Can I copy it all to my computer and then put them back after the reset?

Thanks for any help you can give.

A factory reset will leave your SD card basically untouched. Can't give unequivocal answers on one or two though.

I have a rooted droid 2 and it is stuck on the reboot animation screen. I did fatory resets and didnt fix anything. Maybe I have to install a custom rom. Can anyone help me with this issue please? Thank You

Kind of a thread jack. Create another thread and we'll try to help you there.

1. I would only move apps that are designed to move. 2. If you save sounds to your card, they should stay put. 3. You can copy the contents of your card to your PC and back without issues, but I would move the apps back to the phone first.

So would it be a safe move to get one of the apps to SD from the Market or do those move apps that aren't supposed to move?

i use apps2sd from the market. Dont move pandora though will cause the widget to screw up. read about the apps to see if they are safe to move.

Thanks for the help. I'm not worried about Pandora because I don't use it. If anyone else has any more thoughts on these matters please feel free to let me know.

Also, just found out that you can move apps without an app. Go to settings, applications, manage applications, then pick an app, move to sd card. I am still learning stuff about this phone and I've had it for months.
