A lot of chargers will not charge my phone.

I was in Nashville this weekend with a few friends. I didn't bring my charger expecting someone would bring one. Well, I tried 4 different chargers and none of them worked!
Even newer motorola chargers and a samsung charger would not do the trick. The only ones that work are my car and the stock charger. Any one else have this issue?

Just discovered this also this past weekend. My old dx would use any micro usb I could get my hands on. I tried a LG charger (that had always worked on my dx) and just got an odd buzzing sound that made me uncomfortable. Lo and behold - no charging happening.

A dog's unit can fit into a monkey's unit, but that doesn't mean they will make dog-monkey babies.

The other chargers are not made for the GNex, different voltages/amps.

My OG Droid charger works. It charges slower, but it works. Chargers with the same Voltage, and less amperage works fine. Chargers with less voltage will not work. Chargers with more voltage and same amperage is ok. Chargers with more voltage and more amperage will work BUT you are hurting your battery over time, and you decrease the amount of times it can be charged.

Rule of thumb. Find a charger with 5.0V (or slightly more), 1A (or slightly less)

Seems like this depends on the phone. Others have said any charger works for them while I can't use anything but a Samsung charger and an aftermarket car charger.

All of my moto chargers and aftermarket chargers work fine on my Gnex. Moto chargers from Droid 1 and Bionic work fine. I've even got some dirt cheap Monoprice chargers and they work. I must have gotten one of the good Gnex's!!

Unfortunately I could not find my monkey unit nor my dog unit. I think my monkey/dog babies are playing with them right now!!!

dog-monkey babies... LOL! That said, if it's the right wattage and amps, and the plug fits, I would think it would work.
But chargers do go bad, as I found out. I almost replaced my battery until I found out the charger wasn't working. But I doubt all of your friends have bad chargers...

Not only do some charger not work but I've even noticed the usb part of my dx charger won't even work on my computer with my gn
