Accessing Music without unlocking

Hey all, I searched the threads to see if this was mentioned previously, and I apologize if I missed a response. I am fairly active and was wondering if there was a quick-navigation for the Droid mp3 player without having to go through the hassle of unlocking the screen, dragging down the active app tab, clicking advance, etc. I know it's sacrilegious to mention iPhones/Touches, but for instance, with that you could just double click the home button and it would bring up a soft, quick-navigation pane for the mp3 function, no unlocking or multiple fumbling stages. I can't seem to figure out how to do it, if it's possible, on my Droid.

Have the same desire as the op, searched for mylock with no hits. Would love to figure this feature out as i use my phone as media player alot and constantly find myself wishing for a way to quickly skip or stop music without having to go through all of the steps to pull up the whole app.

Droid Shuffle has music control via headset input. I use them with vmodas faze headset but it should work with any similar device.

Just something to note about the inputs if you decide to go with this: it doesn't work if you press too quickly.
