Activation Screen Bypass Answer

if you need to get around the activation screen when flashing a new rom; ex. you don't want to program your phone with verizon. there is a very simple way. Not sure if anyone has seen this.
but when your phone first comes on and there is the little picture of the droid bot and the hand showing you to click to begin setup. DO NOT click the droid, instead touch the four corners of the black background (not the corners of the phone) clockwise 2 or 3 times.

I'm late to this thread, but I discovered you have to press EXACTLY where indicated. Just below the upper status bar (I was pressing there...) and THEN the very bottom corners. Enabled me to get past a bad sim connection.
